General Description |
This guideline defines common specifications and interface specifications of the extended functions implementing the fragmentation and reassembling of application data with the purpose of diversifying applications operating in the context of the "700 MHz Band Intelligent Transport Systems" (ARIB STD-T109).
The extended functions of this guideline are expected to be fully verified in trials by organizations involved in the use of the standard and for further activities to be undertaken for the practical application of such systems.
This guideline was established through the adoption of a draft by the Vehicle Communications System Expert Group and discussions within the ad hoc Committee made up of the Vehicle Communications System Practical Application Expert Group, Vehicle Communications System International Working Group.

In accordance with the revision of the standard ARIB STD-T109, the roadside-to-vehicle communication and inter-roadside (RVC-IRC) communication base station, which performs inter-roadside communications as well as roadside-to-vehicle communications, is defined.
