General Description |
This guideline creates an inter-vehicle communications system wireless zone interface using the 5.8 GHz band to support experiments of safe driving assistance applications for standardization of inter-vehicle communications.
Experimental verification of the communications standards in this guideline is expected to promote further investigation for standardization of inter-vehicle communications.

More than five years passed since establishment of the initial version in 2007 and investigation of inter-vehicle communications technology advanced in light of the creation in Japan of a system for 700 MHz band ITS and movement towards standardization of inter-vehicle communications in Europe and the U.S., so new wireless communications standards were added to create version 2.0. |
