General Description

This guideline creates a common platform for roadside equipment and onboard devices.

In conjunction with the revision of ARIB standard ARIB STD-T110, the DSRC Basic Application Interfaces Specification Guideline (ITS Form RC-004) was also revised.

The revision added automated driving, dynamic map distribution, etc. to the application type and content type for the push-type information distribution application, making them compatible with various future applications that use this guideline.

The function of the IC card access application was extended to deal with contactless IC smart card.

The Application Type "payment" dealing with billing and settlement and the Contents Type "dsrc privateSpot text/image" offering information services to such vehicles at low-speed operation or halt at parking areas were added to the push-type information delivery application.

Also, additions and corrections to the standards conforming to the Standard were made to create version 1.2.

In response to the DSRC automotive device specifications investigation results of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), the DSRC Basic Application Interfaces Specification Guideline was revised in relation to the cycle problem of PushID in broadcast communication and statements regarding client information notification command appended information are added to create version 1.1.
