Guideline for DSRC Credit Settlement |
Enactment Date |
February 10, 2003 |
General Description |
A guideline for credit card settlement using IC credit cards, which are expected to become increasingly common, under dedicated short range communications (DSRC) environments.
This guideline organizes the general requirements for roadside equipment, onboard devices, store servers, and other related equipment with IC credit card applications installed under DSRC system environments.
Creating environments that enable safe credit card settlement from automobiles using standard IC credit cards (EMV specification IC credit cards issued by international credit card brand issuing card companies) is expected to lead to effective utilization of ITS and DSRC in the business world.
